Our connection starts here.
The land is the real teacher. All we need as students is mindfulness. - Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer

With over 10 years of experience in academia, my work centers on how psychology can support wellness and social change. As someone who is deeply passionate about mental health, human rights, and environmental issues, my goal is to help people connect with themselves, other people, and the environments they live in.

I’m currently an Assistant Professor at Pierce College and I specialize in social, environmental, and positive health psychology. I’m also a Research Affiliate at Yale University, where I completed my postdoc and conducted research on public opinion about climate change. I’m based in Olympia, WA, and often make my way up to Seattle and Union for work and pleasure.

As a Michigander born and raised outside Detroit, I cannot get enough of the evergreen nature of Washington. In my spare time, I’m either outdoors, hanging out with my family, working on my hobbies, or dancing. I especially like to document the beauty of the world (check out my photography) and geek out to board games (check out my games). You can visit publications and experiences to learn more about my work history.
